Top Notch Marine plays no role in the warranty verification process, as each manufacturer makes the final determination of warranty approval. Top Notch Marine Mobile Services welcomes you to have your boat worked on at your house, at your marina or your dock. We stock all parts needed to service your late model boat. Our mobile boat mechanic offers factory-certified, dealer quality boat service and repair without the need to dry dock, or transport your vessel a cross town for service. Our boat mechanics have been Mercury Marine and Mercruiser certified, with accredited certificates from ABYC, Yamaha, Evinrude, Volvo, Honda and Suzuki for over 30 years. ALL of our mechanics are fully trained. We are certified to install, repair and/or maintain inboards, outboards, inboard outboards (I/O), stern drives, direct drives, out drives and lower units as well as all major and minor boat repairs. We also offer propeller repair and replacement.

Boat parts take a little longer to obtain than you might think…

In general, parts are readily available from engine manufacturers (within 5 business days from order date is average). Boat parts are often a much different story and when parts are needed from boat manufacturers we often experience the following delays:

  • In many cases, no parts lookup schematics are available which means we have to email pictures or written descriptions and   wait for a response and price quote before we can order.
  • Boat manufacturers are not parts distributors and therefore can’t react as quickly as we would like. Many will have a parts order in house for up to 5 working days before shipping.
  • Parts for boats older then the current model year old are not stocked by many boat manufacturers and therefore have to essentially be ordered twice. Once from us to the manufacturer and again from them to the OEM supplier who may or may not drop ship directly to us.
  • Canvas and upholstery items are all custom made to order and in most cases require a long wait period, sometimes 90 days or more.
  • Some boat manufacturers don’t offer open accounts and require payment up front on parts orders.
  • Many boat manufacturers do not notify us when parts are back ordered or unavailable. We are left to believe parts are incoming and then we call or email only to find out the parts are back ordered or unavailable.

Solution… We can be more proactive.

If you think you will need a boat part for an upcoming repair or service, take a picture and send it to us in advance. This will allow us to “pre-order” the part when possible. A deposit or payment in full may be required.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Note: Not all services listed on our service page are available in all locations. Ft. Pierce is our largest and most capable facility. Where major repairs and refitting are required, please use our Ft. Pierce facility. We are happy to help with transportation arrangements.
